Malliot Gains Another Group 2 Success

DAME MALLIOT was very impressive today in the Princess of Wales' Group 2 at Newmarket under Hollie Doyle. She ran a little fresh early on and did not settle for the first couple of furlongs, Hollie then let her move up to the front where she could control the pace and get her to relax. The race really picked up momentum a mile out and despite being headed by two horses she fought back, in her typical gutsy fashion, to gallop clear by two and a quarter lengths. Plans are still fluid at this time but the obvious targets will be the Group 1's over a mile and a half. I was delighted for her owner/breeder Anthony Oppenheimer, who has been a wonderful supporter of the yard and Hollie Doyle, who gained her first Group winner.
