DANCE And Dance will have his second start at the Dubai International Racing Carnival when he contests the Range Rover Trophy at Meydan on Thursday (Feb 16).

The son of Royal Applause is returning to handicap company having run well to be sixth to Musir in the Group 3 Al Maktoum Challenge (Round 1) on his first start of the year.

Jamie Spencer will partner the six-year-old again and the pair will face 15 rivals  including Group winners Shimraan and Al Shemali.

Vaughan said: “I am delighted with Dance And Dance. He looks back to his old self, is eating well and is fresh.

“He worked with great enthusiasm on the turf yesterday (Monday). He is drawn high and is up in trip but, as he likes to be dropped in, I hope this will compensate for going further. I am expecting him to be back to his best.”

Dance And Dance’s ‘best’ include a close second in the Royal Hunt Cup and the Group 3 Sovereign Stakes and also an unlucky sixth in the Grade 1 Woodbine Mile.
