Redvers lands Ascot prize

REDVERS gained a valuable pot when narrowly taking the Longines Ladies’ Race at Ascot on Saturday, July 21.

The son of Ishiguru was ridden by Hayley Moore, sister of champion Ryan. She gave him a great ride and needed all her strength in a tight finish, beating Apostle by a nose.

Ed said: “He was bought as an Ascot horse. We rather imagined it would be a Royal Hunt Cup or a Buckingham Palace, but we'll take it.

“He did a nice piece of work with Dance And Dance last week and Ryan had ridden him before, so I imagine he pointed Hayley in the right direction.”

Moore added: “I knew he had to be ridden patiently and I didn't time it that well, but we managed it OK.”
